How to sell your used car for cash quickly & for free
Step 1. Fill in the details of the car that you want to sell using the online form on the left. Click send and this will be emailed to us for appraisal. Make sure you describe the car you want to sell thoroughly and accurately. We need to know about all the car's colour, optional extras, service history, mileage, MOT and your honest view of its general condition.
Step 2. We will then carry out an initial valuation of your car on this information and call you back with a price to sell – usually within 60 minutes. This is not an automatic valuation process carried out by computer, An experienced buyer will take into account everything you tell us about your car but will of course need to verify all of this if you decide to accept our offer and sell you car. This will be a firm offer to buy that we will act on, so long as your description of the car is accurate and backed up by the documentation.
Step 3. If you are happy with the valuation, then you need to call us and make arrangement for us to see the car you are selling. At that meeting you will need to produce all the keys (including spares), the DVLA reg. doc. (log book), MOT, Service history and any bills for work carried out. If the car you want to sell has been financed, you will also need an up-to-date letter from the finance company showing the settlement figure for any outstanding balance, although we can obtain this for you if requested.
Step 4. The car will then be checked against the appraisal form which you completed online. This whole process should not take more than 15 minutes. If everything matches, arrangements will be made for you to receive your payment, less anything that is outstanding on the finance.
Once you have your cash, you will be able to go out and buy that new car you wanted, or spend the proceeds as you see fit!
